iOS 7 Beta 1 was released last night, I told you how you can install it on your terminals without having a registered UDID here, but can you can a downgrade without problems? The answer is yes, you can downgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 6 without problems, but unfortunately you will not get a version that can be jailbroken, unless you have an iPhone 4. For the remaining terminals have to downgrade to iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4, depending on the version of iOS which is available for your device. For iPhone 4 you can use redsn0w to do the restore from any iOS version, but the method is not yet verified.

For any other device follow the procedure below and you will immediately return to iOS 6. [click to continue…]

iOS 7 Beta 1 is available during this night for owners of iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 terminals, and you can download it quickly. Following the link below you get a page where you will be able to download the new version of the operating system that is currently available only for the iPhone terminal. It looks like you can install iOS 7 even if you are not registered on behalf of a developer, simply holding down the Option button on Mac or Shift on Windows, combined with pressing Restore from iTunes allowing you to install iOS 7.
If you follow these steps it should work without problems, but it is advisable to make a backup first to save your data. Be aware that you can only restore to iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4 if you don’t have an iPhone 4, so make this step very carefully. [click to continue…]

During this evening Apple released iOS 6.1.4 only for the iPhone 5 terminal, the new version of the operating system bringing a new profile for the device speakers. iOS 6.1.4 is not available for other devices and outside the new profile does not seem to bring other changes, its size is of only 11.5 MB in OTA version. Apple said it will release iOS 6.1.4 to implement some changes in VPN system, but seems to be limited only to a minor update.

To install iOS 6.1.4 on your iPhone you can access either the Settings menu>General>Software Update to perform OTA Update directly from the terminal, if you do not jailbreak, you can download the ipsw file using the link below and you can use it in iTunes to perform a restore. [click to continue…]

This week the untethered jailbreak solution called evasi0n was officially launched, and with it has come a long awaited update to ultrasn0w, version 1.2.8 is now available on Cydia. Although many owners of iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 terminals expected to decode their terminals with an old baseband, ultrasn0w 1.2.8 unfortunately does not do this properly for everyone. More specifically, ultrasn0w 1.2.8 does not decode most iPhones, although they are having an old baseband and the problem seems to be from the new iOS released by Apple.

During this evening Apple released iOS 5 beta 7 for application developers for iOS, the operating system version brings quite a few changes.
Dev Team yesterday launched redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 7, bringing compatibility with a new firmware version iOS 5 beta 6 for iPad that Apple change it without notice. The good thing is that the new redsn0w version is compatible with iOS 5 beta 7 released this evening so the Dev Team will not update the program but the downside is that you need iOS 5 beta 6 for the jailbreak.
The jailbreak remains tethered to all devices and of course is not compatible with iPad 2.
