Supports for iOS 4.3.2 for the relevant devices.
Supports for iOS 4.2.7 for iPhone 4 CDMA.

TinyUmbrella is now updated to support 4.3.2 / 4.2.7 iOS versions. I’ve also added a simple feature to allow you to ‘Visit Blog’ when updates are available.
Enjoy

EDIT: OK so it looks like Cydia is giving up the ghost and having some major issues. I’ve re-uploaded 4.30.05 for those of you that want to save 4.3.1 via APPLE. Hurry up and do so before 4.3.1 is no longer signed.

To save your SHSH via APPLE instead of CYDIA (the default) go into Advanced options and UNCHECK the box that clearly says: “Request SHSH From Cydia” then click ‘Apply Changes’ then select your device then click ‘Save SHSH’

Also, If you want to save 4.3.2/4.2.7 get the updated 4.32.01 as there was a file missing in 4.32.00 XD.

TinyUmbrella 4.32.01 Changelog:

  • Supports iOS 4.3.2
  • Supports iOS 4.2.7

What is TinyUmbrella? In simple words, I would say that TinyUmbrella is a software/application that will help iPhone users to save SHSH Blobs of iPhone in order to allow them save ECID (SHSH blobs) and let them restore older firmware or downgrade the iPhone firmware (iOS).

While Apple denies your request to restore the older firmware, TinyUmbrella makes it possible by starting TSS service on your local computer and let you downgrade iOS. TinyUmbrella available for Windows and OSX (Mac). The download link below is Mac version. Get the Windows version here: http://iphoners.org/download-tinyumbrella-4.32.01-win/

How-to Downgrade iOS 4.3 to 4.2.1

by iPhone Users on March 12, 2011

Before downgrading your iPhone firmware from iOS 4.3 to 4.2.1, you must have SHSH Blobs for iOS 4.2.1. Why do you need to save SHSH blobs before downgrade iPhone firmware?
It’s explained very well in this post: What is ECID SHSH Blobs
The main point is, Apple will need to send signature approval back to iTunes while restoring firmware process and Apple will deny to sign iPhone OS 4.2.1 because it is older than the current release, iOS 4.3.
Saved SHSH Blobs is signature files that has been approved by Apple and you saved in a safe place (Cydia, Local Computer, or Email). Once you have it saved in a safe place, you will not need to ask Apple again while iTunes restoring firmware.

What do you need to downgrade iPhone firmware?

  1. Saved SHSH Blobs on local computer (you may import to local computer if you have it saved in somewhere else)
  2. Import save SHSHs from Cydia to local computer. You can click your connected device → click Save SHSH to import SHSHs from Cydia to local computer.
It should show this list if you have any SHSH file(s) saved.

In this picture, TinyUmbrella says that I have these SHSH files saved on my computer (also on Cydia):

    • iPhone4 4.0.1 (8A306)
    • iPhone4 4.0.2 (8A400)
    • iPhone4 4.1 (8B117)
    • iPhone4 4.2.1 (8C148)
    • iPhone4 4.2b3 (8C5115c)
    • iPhone4 4.3b2 (8F5153d)

It means that I can downgrade to any firmware that mentioned above (includes iOS 4.2.1 → iPhone4 4.2.1 (8C148)). You will not be able to downgrade to firmware version which is not mentioned in TinyUmbrella.

How to Save ECID SHSH Blobs with TinyUmbrella

by iPhone Users on February 3, 2011

If you do not know what ECID SHSH blobs is, please read this first: What is ECID SHSH. TinyUmbrella doesn’t require you to jailbreak your iPhone (or any iDevices) in order to save your SHSH. Furthermore, TinyUmbrella sends the SHSH request through Cydia’s servers which turn around and request the SHSH from apple. You will have two benefits, SHSH being saved on Cydia and locally on your home computer (in case Cydia’s server temporarily down, you can still restore same firmware or downgrade). More about TinyUmbrella: Read TinyUmbrella FAQ.

Also, in case you cannot find “Make my life easier” button, “Make my life easier” button disappear, “Make my life easier” button doesn’t exist, or you did accidentally pressed “I hate jailbreaking. Go away!” (accidentally declined to save SHSH), you can use TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH. You should save SHSH Blobs of current firmware before the new firmware released by Apple.

This tutorial will guide you how to save ECID SHSH Blobs (we will call it SHSH Blobs) by using TinyUmbrella.

How-to Downgrade iPhone Firmware using TinyUmbrella

by iPhone Users on December 5, 2010

Before downgrading iPhone firmware (i.e.: downgrade iOS 4.3 to 4.2.1) you must have the saved SHSH Blobs files of the firmware version which you wish to downgrade to (i.e.: SHSH for iOS 4.2.1).

Why do you need to save SHSH blobs before downgrade iPhone firmware?
It’s explained very well in this post: What is ECID SHSH Blobs
But the main point is, since Apple will need to send signature approval back to iTunes while restoring firmware process and Apple will deny to sign if the firmware is older than the current release. (i.e.: restore iOS 4.2.1 while the current release is iOS 4.3).

How-to Save ECID SHSH Blobs using TinyUmbrella (doesn’t require jailbreak)
    • How-to check if you have any saved SHSH?
Run TinyUmbrella, you can see the saved SHSH files by clicking “Show All SHSHs“.

If you do not have any saved SHSH file and most likely, it will show a blank list.

    • Import save SHSHs from Cydia to local computer. You can click your connected device → click Save SHSH to import SHSHs from Cydia to local computer.
It should show this list if you have any SHSH file(s) saved.

      • iPhone4 4.3b2 (8F5153d)

It means that I can downgrade to any firmware that mentioned above (to iOS 4.0.1, 4.0.2, and so on). You will not be able to downgrade to firmware version which is not mentioned in TinyUmbrella.
