For those that have the iPhone 5 with them right now, it is sad to say that the jailbreak feature for that particular device has yet to be available. However, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G users can get the latest version of Redsn0w that is version 0.9.15b1. It allows the users to jailbreak their iOS 6 devices should they want to as well as restore to the previous iOS 5 too.
The good thing about this new version is that you can restore from just about any iOS 5.x version as long as you have the correct blobs. In addition to that, Cydia is also included in any A4 devices that are being jailbreak with Redsn0w. Other new features include deactivating iPhone, tethered jailbreak of Apple TV 2, untethered 6.0 jailbreak on old-bootrom 3G and many more. In fact, you can check this latest version and see whether some of the features that you wanted have been highlighted or not.
As mentioned before, iPhone 5 users need to wait for some time before any jailbreak tools are released. The release date of these tools has yet to be announced although it shouldn’t be very long now.

While the iOS 6 has been around for quite some time, there has yet to be an untethered jailbreak for it. However, that is still limited to a few devices and these are the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch 4G. As it is a tethered jailbreak, you will need to connect your device to the computer to reboot your jailbreak iOS device. Cydia needs to be installed separately as well.

A new update is always welcomed, at least for those that don’t jailbreak their Apple devices. Nevertheless, a new update was released for Apple TV and this is Software Update 5.0.2 (also known as iOS 5.1.2). This update is meant for both Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3 and for this particular update, it is of build number 9B830.

After pod2g and the Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0 which is their version of the iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak tool, iH8sn0w released his own version which is the Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4. This particular jailbreak tool makes use of the pod2g untethered jailbreak which is called Absinthe 2.0. It allows users to create their own pre-jailbreak firmware on which they can use to upgrade their iOS devices to the latest version of iOS.

New jailbreaks are always nice to have especially when it supports a new firmware. In the case of the newest version of the pod2g jailbreak tool, it is capable of jailbreaking the latest iOS version in the market which is the iOS 5.1.1. However, it has yet to be released for the mass to use although that might not be the case for so long anymore.

It hasn’t been long since the release of iOS 5.1.1 but there is already a jailbreak for that particular version of the iOS. Pod2g has confirmed that his untethered jailbreak now works for the iOS 5.1.1 and this will be made possible on a few devices, particularly the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad.
