iPhone 5 receives 2 million orders in day one

by Costea Lestoc on September 17, 2012

Day one orders always say a lot about the future of the product. In the case of the iPhone 5, it had definitely received tremendous number of orders. This is because as compared with the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5 had clearly beaten the record of the latter. As mentioned by Apple, the iPhone 5 itself received more than 2 million orders on the day that pre-order was made possible.

The initial pre-order was made available as early as 3a.m in Eastern Time on Friday, September 14. On that day itself, the demand was so good that the initial supplies for the iPhone quickly finished. In fact, if anyone wants to pre-order their iPhone 5, they can expect to get them in 2 to 3 weeks. There is no telling whether there will be stocks during the release date though. As compared with the previous years, there will be stocks available.

The iPhone 5 is set to be priced from $199 to $399 from various carriers. The iPhone 5 will come with a 4-inch screen, the new A6 processor, 4G LTE support and a few other things. It also sports a new design which is different than the glass back present in the iPhone 4 and 4S.
