iPhone 5 Launched in Multiple Countries

by Costea Lestoc on September 22, 2012

Good news to those that live in countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, France Singapore and a few others because the iPhone 5 was just launched in those countries. The sixth generation iPhone had made its debut on 19th September and in some cases, there were long lines waiting for the release of the new iPhone. In fact, in most of the countries, there were large queues in just about every Apple flagship stores.

The iPhone 5 is said to be roughly 20% lighter as compared with the iPhone 4S as well as 18% thinner as well. The display is slightly longer at a length of 4-inch diagonally. In addition to that, it also supports 4G LTE networks in a few other countries including the United States. Battery life on the other hand is said to be just about the same as the iPhone 4S.

However, as far as its Maps application is concerned, many were disappointed with it considering that it is anything but updated. In most cases, there were a lot of incomplete streets and as compared with Google’s extensive coverage, the new Maps application by Apple is no match for it. Suffice to say that Apple has a lot to fix especially on their Maps.
