A figure of 1 million during the first day of release may be impossible for certain mobile phone manufacturers but the same cannot be said about Apple. The company’s Senior Vice President Philip Schiller said that the first day of the release will see roughly one million units sold around the world.
Apple plans to release the device to around 22 countries around the globe. Apparently they are well prepared to meet up with the overwhelming demand of the device. Apple’s website currently said that pre-orders during the first day is now unavailable and it would take a week to two before the next batch will be shipped. Even then, the demand is growing as people are looking forward to be the first few people to get their hands on the new device made by Apple.
In the US, the iPhone 4S will be made available at a price of $199 for the 16GB version, $299 for the 32GB and $399 if you want the 64GB iPhone 4S. The device is made available on multiple carriers such as AT&T, Verizon and even Sprint. The iPhone 4S will also be made available unlocked but potential owners do need to prepare to fork in a lot of cash.
