iOS Is The Most Widely Used Platform For Mobile Streaming

by Costea Lestoc on May 27, 2011

According to an analysis by Freewheel, Apple will dominate the mobile video market thanks to OS for iPhone. And let’s be serious, iOS is the most awesome and used platform for streaming video.

As you can see from the chart, Android Market has only 20% of mobile phone used in streaming, while Apple the iOS devices hold over 80%.

Obviously, despite the fact that the pad sizes allow a more comfortable video watching, it looks like the iPhone is the most used device for viewing multimedia content in straming. The fact that Apple is a relatively young tablet can be considered as an excellent asset for the Cupertino company considering that this tablet is becoming more widespread. Like you’ve seen from the picture, iPod comes with 30% wireless streaming, Ipad with 20% (but keep in mind that it’s just beginning) and iPhone among the first place and is still rising.¬† We will keep you updated with more graphics.
