This tutorial will guide you how to update your iPhone software to the latest version by holding shift button on keyboard and clicking restore button on iTunes.

Advantages of using this method is the process of downloading iPhone firmware that more quickly because you can use a download accelerator.

1. Download iPhone Firmware/Software/OS from here: Direct Download Link for iPhone Firmware | OS | Software (All Versions)

2. Open iTunes.

3. Connect iPhone to computer using its USB cable.

4. In iPhone summary tab, hold down your shift button on keyboard and click Restore button.

If you just click Restore button without holding the shift key, you will see this message:

5. A window will appear to browse the iPhone software file (*.ipsw file). Select the iPhone Firmware/Software/OS that you have downloaded in step number one.

6. Please wait until the restoring process is complete.

7. Once your iPhone has been restored, you will see this message.

Your iPhone has been restored to factory settings, and is restarting. Please leave your iPhone connected. It will appear in the iTunes windows after it restarts.

8. Congratulations. Now, your iPhone software has been updated to a newer version. If you are using un-official SIM Card on your iPhone, you will get error message on iTunes which saying that your inserted SIM card in iPhone doesn’t supported.

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone.
Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit supported Carrier’s store
to receive a replacement SIM card.

But, don’t worry about it. You can remove this message by jailbreaking your iPhone.
