Warning: This post is intended for people owning the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4 that managed by various methods (jailbreak, hacks, full reset) to fail at opening their iPhone under any circumstances.
Step 1: Install iTunes on a PC or Mac. You must also have data cable for your iPhone;
Step 2: Start iTunes on your computer;
Step 3: Connect your iPhone to the computer;
Step 4: Hold the Home and Power button until the display becomes completely black. Release the Power button and hold the Home button still pressed until you see the image below:
iPhone integrates well with Apple’s iCloud and in fact, users can even backup their iPhone data through the iCloud but that doesn’t seem to bode well for users in the long run. This is because an application by Elcomsoft allows the user to get forensic access to the online backups uploaded to the iCloud storage server.
Previously, there was a case that made it hard for those that had their iPhone contract ended to unlock their devices from AT&T. However, another method of doing it is through Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM) and that application had certainly got better.
Once done, tap Search menu in Cydia. Type FuriousMod to find FuriousMod tweak and install it to your iPhone.
You will see No SIM Card Installed error message on iPhone. Turn the iPhone off by holding the sleep button.
Put the Gevey Ultra SIM on the custom tray which included inside gevey ultra pack and put your SIM on the top of it. Insert the custom sim tray which contains your micro sim and gevey ultra sim into sim slot on iPhone.
Press and hold the sleep button to turn on the iPhone 4. You should see the iPhone getting signal in approximately 60 seconds. Wait until the signal bar appears on the top of iPhone screen and ignore any error message on iPhone. Just do not do anything.
In order to get 3G access, tap Settings → General → Network → activate Data Roaming option.
Done.

iPhone Permanent Unlock online services that we introduced about a week ago were temporarily unavailable for unknown timeframe. OfficialUnlocks.com, SupperPaddyNL, CutYourSIM.com, and FunkySpaceMoney.com were suddenly stopping their iPhone permanent unlock service for time being. They gave no specific time frame when their permanent unlock service will be back.
OfficialUnlocks.com stated that their service will not be available until further notice:

Apple’s servers are down at the moment. NO IMEI will be submitted until they are back up. Thanks for your patience…. I’m sure everybody knows about the downtime on Apple’s servers. Because of that, everything slowed down, and it takes up to 72 hours now. If you placed your order on Thursday nigh/Friday morning, your IMEI is being processed but it will take longer. We understand the frustration, and because of that, ( WITH solid proof, of course ) we can provide refunds BUT you will loose your place in line. We suggest you to be patient. UPDATE 2: The service will be back up today ( we don’t know for how long tho ). You have two options: 1. believe whatever you want to believe 2. get your iPhone unlocked. IF/WHEN Apple will block the whole thing, if your IMEI didn’t get processed, ( with proof ) you will get a full refund.
UPDATE 3: All IMEI’s that were paid up till 4-18-11 will be submitted again tomorrow morning to test server. Reports are that supplier had a few more customers confirm unlock from 2 -4 day server.So thats a good sign!
