Now, you can unlock any iPhone with 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93.
If you have a factory unlock (FU) iPhone, you do NOT need to read this guide, because your iPhone has unlocked already 
You need to jailbreak your iPhone before you can unlock it. Read any of these tutorial to jailbreak your iPhone.
The baseband version of iOS4 is 05.13.04. Now, you can unlock 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93. Check your baseband version and make sure the baseband version is 05.13.04 before you continue reading this guide.
How to jailbreak iOS4
Here are steps how to unlock your iPhone:
Add repository to cydia: repo666.ultrasn0w.com and then install ultrasn0w 0.93. Wait for few minutes, then you will have an unlocked iPhone.

Now, you can unlock iPhone with 3.1.3 firmware installed and 05.12.01 baseband version, also unlock 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93.
If your iPhone is a factory unlock (FU) one, you do NOT need to unlock your iPhone, because it’s already unlocked

The baseband version of iPhone 3.1.3 firmware is 05.12.01. Now, you can unlock 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93. Check your baseband version and make sure the baseband version is 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 before you continue reading this guide.
Don’t forget to install cydia while jailbreaking your iPhone. Add repository to cydia: repo666.ultrasn0w.com and then install ultrasn0w 0.93. Wait for few minutes, then you will have an unlocked iPhone.

Thunderst0rm, a tool that was promising about jailbreak and unlock 3.1.3 firmware based on 05.12.01 baseband for iPhone 1st generation, iphone 3G, and iPhone 3GS has released on 25th April. As promised that it would be released on 23rd April (and possibly +2 days). The author of http://iphone-thunderst0rm.blogspot.com/ has removed all blog posts and put only download link of thunderst0rm final which is hosted at Rapidshare.com.
Thunderst0rm has now been confirmed as fake. The file size of thunderst0rm_Final.zip is 19MB, which are contains unnecessary DLL files and thunderst0rm itself.
This software is absolutely doing nothing on your computer. No matter what device and action (jailbreak, unlock, jailbreak & unlock), when you click Make it st0rm it will only display a message box that saying:
