What is Spirit Jailbreak?
The Spirit jailbreak is an iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad untethered jailbreak tool created by comex and chpwn. It will jailbreak 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 firmware for all devices. Sprit jailbreak is easy to use jailbreak software, and it will quickly jailbreak your iPhone, or iPod touch, or iPad by using 1-single click.
*Original description of Spirit jailbreak*
* Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on certain firmware versions.
* Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
* If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgrade if you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)

Requirements
* Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
* An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
* Any version of iTunes 9 earlier than 9.2
* Syncing with iTunes before trying this is highly recommended.
You need an activated device. If your iPhone stuck on “Connect to iTunes” and/or “Emergency Call” screen, you cannot use spirit jailbreak. You may use redsn0w to jailbreak 3.1.3 firmware instead.

Now, you can unlock iPhone with 3.1.3 firmware installed and 05.12.01 baseband version, also unlock 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93.
If your iPhone is a factory unlock (FU) one, you do NOT need to unlock your iPhone, because it’s already unlocked 
You need to jailbreak your iPhone before you can unlock it. Read this tutorial to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 firmware (using redsn0w 0.9.4): Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware
The baseband version of iPhone 3.1.3 firmware is 05.12.01. Now, you can unlock 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 baseband by using ultrasn0w 0.93. Check your baseband version and make sure the baseband version is 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 before you continue reading this guide.
Don’t forget to install cydia while jailbreaking your iPhone. Add repository to cydia: repo666.ultrasn0w.com and then install ultrasn0w 0.93. Wait for few minutes, then you will have an unlocked iPhone.

- Download iPhone 3.1.2 firmware from iPhone firmware download page and choose appropriate firmware for your iPhone model (2G/3G/3GS).
(It will be used by redsn0w to recognize the firmware)
1. Download redsn0w 0.9.4 for Windows (If you’re using Mac, Download redsn0w 0.9.4 for Mac)
2. If you have WinRAR installed, right click on redsn0w-win_0.9.4.zip and click Extract here or using Windows’ default extractor program.

Make sure your iPhone is connected to Internet and you have Cydia installed on iPhone.
1. Open Cydia app on iPhone.
2. From Cydia Home, choose Manage.
