For the June quarter of 2011, it was reported that Apple sold a whopping 20.34 million iPhones and for a company that sells mobile phones, the figure is an astonishing sum indeed. However, with the soon-to-be-released iPhone 5 coming out, Apple has set the bar for the next quarter to be at 30 million iPhones sold which would make a new record for the Cupertino based company.
An analyst reportedly told AppleInsider that the new iPhone will still use a 512MB RAM although one of the features improved is its antenna. This is a lesson learnt from the iPhone 4 after it was found that when a user touches a specific point on the iPhone 4, the reception would drop significantly. The new iPhone is said to have put that problem into consideration and have reportedly fixed it as well.
In addition to that, the new iPhone also make use of Corning’s Gorilla Glass for its back panel so that it would protect the device from scratches and damages. The iPhone 5 would also sport an 8MP camera which is a lot more than what the current iPhone 4 has to offer.
With a lot of new improvements as well as a new operating system, the iPhone 5 would definitely be worth the wait.
